"The exterior image of the library proudly shows two styles of architecture separated in time. On the other hand, when you walk inside, the spatial uniformity manifests itself through spacious and bright spaces.

Architect of the rehabilitation and extension: Antonio Montes

Useable Surface area: 1415 m2

Opening: 2009

"The facade of the building, mainly with night lighting, seems to act as a claim to the cultural content offered by the library. Inside, the attention to detail and the feeling of spaciousness stand out, taking into account the small size of the building.

Vapor Badia Library (Sabadell)

Architect: Josep Palau

Useable Surface area: 3736 m2

Opening: 2002

Plans and pictures.

"The flexibility of the original building allowed the library to be organized quite freely, and it was also possible to respect such interesting elements as the roof structure. The natural lighting that enters through all the facades and the roof stands out, as well as the holes in the slab that allow a global vision of the entire library."

Can Casacuberta Library (Badalona)

Architects: Poch & Moliner (Phase I) - Antonio Sanmartin (Phase II)

Useable Surface area: 3416 m2

Opening: 1992

Plans and pictures

"The structure of the building allowed for a very open and flexible library, built in two phases separated in time with a very different architectural style. A visual relationship with the outside is missing, which was not possible to achieve due to the characteristics of the original building and the protection regulations as a heritage building."
