Santi Romero

Architect. Library buildings adviser, lecturer and teacher.

Master’s degree in Architecture by the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura of Barcelona. After working at the Taller de Arquitectura Ricardo Bofill, in 1993 I joined the Library Services Management Office of the Diputació de Barcelona, where I have been the Head of the Library Architecture Unit between 2005 and 2020. I have also advised library projects in other parts of the Spanish state.

I have written articles and given conferences and courses both nationally and internationally.

I am the author of the book "Library Architecture: Recommendations for a comprehensive research project", published in Spanish, Catalan and English.

Since 2005 I have been member of the "Library Buildings and Equipment Section" of IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions).
